Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by the Committee to Elect Chris Lee for Sheriff (R) (the "Campaign," "we," "us"), 5426 N. Rd 68 Suite D #224, Pasco, WA 99301. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, our forms and our text message program, and how we use it.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you sign up for updates, request a yard sign, volunteer, endorse Chris or send us a message, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, mobile phone number, street address, city, ZIP code, the topic you selected, your message, and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit. When you submit a form, we store the date, time, page address and IP address with your submission so we have a record of your request and any consent you gave.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse. Your browser may store a small amount of data locally to make the site work, which never leaves your device.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests, including delivering yard signs.
- To send campaign news, event invitations and volunteer opportunities by email.
- To send text messages, only if you have opted in (see below).
- To coordinate volunteers and, if you submit an endorsement, to confirm it and publish it with your permission.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and comply with the law.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the text message box on one of our forms and provide a mobile number, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from the Committee to Elect Chris Lee for Sheriff with campaign updates, event invitations and volunteer requests. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or contribution.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
Full program terms are in our Terms of Service.
Contributions
Online contributions are processed by WinRed on a separate website, and the information you provide there is governed by WinRed's own privacy policy. Washington law requires political committees to report contributor information, such as name and address, and for larger contributions, occupation and employer, to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission. Those reports become public records.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message.
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask us to correct or delete the information you submitted by writing to us through our contact form or at the mailing address below. We may keep records we are legally required to keep.
Security and retention
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with access limited to campaign staff who need them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep submissions for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements, and then delete them.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
Our site links to sites we do not control, including WinRed, VoteWA, Facebook and Instagram. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Material changes to how we handle text message consent will not apply to consent you gave earlier without your agreement.
